Para cumplir con nuestra misión de crear un mundo mejor, nuestra fe necesita ayudar a formar líderes comprometidos a compartir con la comunidad sus dones, tiempo y conocimiento. La escuela de teología de Meadville Lombard y la oficina internacional de la asociación Unitaria Universalista, conociendo esta necesidad, están solicitando aplicaciones de líderes unitarios interesados en participar en la conferencia global del 2017. Esta oportunidad es para personas que viven por fuera de los Estados Unidos y que estén dispuestas a usar los conocimientos adquiridos para el beneficio y desarrollo del movimiento Unitario en su país de origen. El programa incluye clases en línea desde el país de origen, clases presenciales en Chicago y mentoría con un ministro experimentado al regresar a su país. ¡Se requiere saber Ingles.

Meadville Lombard and the UUA International office are opening applications for the 2017 U/U Global Conference. We would like to invite you to nominate future U/U leaders of your community for this program. The ideal candidate will have long-term commitment to continue the establishment and growth of U/Uism in your country as well as the willingness and ability to share his/her learning experience in the U/U Global Conference with others.
U/U leaders interested in participating in this program need to complete the application package no later than June 27th, 2016.
The U/U Global Conference aims to support the development of high-impact and locally relevant U/U leadership around the world. In January 2017, U/U leaders selected to participate in the program will travel to the United States to attend convocation and take classes at Meadville Lombard Theological School. In September 2016, they will begin the online portion of the classes as well as participate in monthly online meetings. From February to May 2017, they will work as a cohort and with an experienced Unitarian Universalist minister or scholar to reflect on the future of the communities where they are called to serve.
By the end of the program, participants should be able to prepare action plans to support the goals of their congregations/communities and identify the tools and resources they require to meet the needs of their spiritual community.

- Please notice that incomplete applications will not be reviewed
The U/U Global Conference will cover:
- 50% of International airfares
- Room and board
- Books
- Tuition and fees
Participants are expected to:
- Pay for 50% of the international travel costs
- Cover the fees to apply for the American Visa
- Have access to computer and internet
- Have proficiency in English
- Have international health insurance
Important dates:
- Application deadline: July 27th2016
- Beginning of the U/U Global Conference: September 1st2016 – readings will be assigned
- Remote portion of the program: September 1stto December 20thand February 1st to May 30th 2017
- Time in the United States: January 3rdto January 22th 2017
- End of the program: May 30th 2017
